Welcome to Berea, Kentucky
This year’s Woodworking in America event will take place at beautiful Berea College—a picture-perfect campus nestled in the foothills of Kentucky (and located conveniently on Interstate 75).
Berea is one of the country’s great epicenters of the furniture craft, with dozens of world-class makers. But there’s plenty to do there for woodworkers and non-woodworkers alike.
The Berea Arts Council is hosting a number of how-to workshops from Nov. 14-16, ranging from Introduction to Lampwork Beads to Making Paper from Plants, to Coptic Bookbinding. Explore all the available workshops and register at the Berea Arts Council web page.
You can also visit Pleasant Hill Shaker Village, America’s largest restored Shaker community with 34 meticulously maintained buildings and 3,000 acres of preserved farmland. The village is also home to more than 25 miles of striking rock fences, the most extensive collection remaining in Kentucky today.
Check out Berea’s official tourism site for more information on shopping, sightseeing and dining near the Conference.
